Sophomore Jess Hulse at Ithaca College talks about her freshmen year and some essentials that helped her get through it all.

What was the greatest lesson you learned last year?
“It would be that finals suck, but if you put the time into it then it would be worth it in the end. You want to cry, but then you get the good grade and you feel accomplished.”

And your favorite part of last year?
“Making new friends.”

What is one item you can’t live without here at college?
“On this campus you need a good pair of UGGS. I got them for Christmas second semester. It was wonderful and so much warmer.”

What was your favorite class and why?
“The fundamentals of interpersonal communications because not only did I think the material was interesting, but my professor was funny, she taught class outside and told jokes.”

What is your favorite snack?
“Oreos because after dinner when the dining hall food doesn’t hit the spot I eat Oreos. You can’t really mess up an Oreo.”
